Whipped Icing Mix?

When working with the whipped icing mix do you have to keep the icing cold and the put the cake in the fridge every now and then so it doesn't melt as you are decorating?

Not sure what icing mix you are referring to? Are you using something like Rich's Bettercream??

Are you referring to the Wilton Whipped Icing mix or to Pastry Pride/Rich's Bettercreme Whipped Icing.

I am referring to the Wilton's Whipped Icing Mix. Is that the same type of icing that tastes someone like whipped cream? I thought that it was but maybe I am thinking of something different.
