here's a cute pic, it's only only one tier though. but maybe you could get some ideas from this!!

here's another from the same site. but instead of the pirate ship...you could put the shark swimming around the edges and have a littel boy on top playing in the sand...w/a pail or something

Those pictures are great!
I was going to suggest something like the first picture.... you could have the shark "swimming" on the first or second tier, and the as a "topper" you could make a surfer boy and girl (in swim attire, of course) holding each other in fright! Like, "EEEEEEEEEKK". Did ya get that? Hahaha. Wish I had a picture to describe what I mean, but I think you get the drift. Happy baking! Be sure to post! ![]()
This is for a 6yr.old soon to be 7 this will be a combination Luau/under the sea party their will be children and grown ups at this party their will be food besides all the other things that goes with a kids party we have a big family and they all get invited.
He has requested a cake with a shark on it and its up to me to decide what kind of cake to have so I thought it would be fun to make a Whimsical Tilted Cake with the ocean theme I guess you could even call it a beach party I will also make his invitations ![]()

I just responded to your post on another topic about my topsy turvy cake...but I just saw your topic so I though I'd add to it.
I could see the two working together. Maybe the shark could be jumping through one of the layers on the cake...so his head is sticking out of one end and his tail out of the other.
You could use lots of flowers to tie in the luau theme - the base color could be blue for water. This could be a really fun cake.
Again, if you are looking for construction ideas, let me know.
Start your theme on the bottom cake...make that the ocean..fish...the shark..etc....next layer work up...some water and maybe begin the beach theme...top layers make your luau theme...coconut trees...hula dancers...that way they will all tie in together...
try here http://freedsbakery.com/weddings-frameset/fantasy-island they have some very pretty cakes on this website. hopefully you will be able to get some ideas. ![]()
