I've gotten to where I only take a picture if it is new and worthy of posting on my website. When you are starting out...they are all new and exciting!

I do still take pics of my cakes...I put them in my album to show to anyone that wants to order a cake if they want to see my work. I don't ever create the same cake twice, but I have the pics to show the quality of the artwork that they will get from me.

Nope, I still take pictures. When I have to repeat a cake, I try to give it a little different look.

I haven't made that many cakes, but I even take step-by-step photos to show the whole process! icon_razz.gif

I still take pictures of all my cakes. I might not print them out for my album but I keep them on a disc.

I still photograph my cakes, but only if it is an original cake (by that I mean a cake I haven't done before), or an improvement on previous efforts if it's a repeat. I only take pictures of celebration cakes and cookies though - I must do some of cupcakes, plain cookies, pies etc for my website!

I wish I had taken pics. I don't have or can't find any pics of cakes I've made in the past and I wish I had taken them now. I didn't start wanting pics taken until I found this site.!! Keep on taking pics and I hope you have a digital camera icon_lol.gif

Everyone who I have made cakes for always asks how you cut a cake like that. As soon as I take my picture I don't care if you cut the cake.
My cake is my art, so if I have a picture go ahead and eat it. icon_smile.gif

I take pictures, lose them or misplace them, then wonder why I don't have any pics on here. icon_lol.gif

I'm trying to get some together....hopefully soon I'll have some up. icon_rolleyes.gif

I take pictures of all cakes I decorate. I may not show they to everyone, I may not even like every cake I do, but I do take pictures of every one of them.

I think it is helpful to have them. One you can show them to people, even if they are slightly different cakes, so that they can get an idea of what you can do. It also shows them that if they want this from one cake and that from another, you can make adjustments to get what they want.

I always encourage my students to take pictures of every cake they do. It gives you a chance to look back in the past and see how much you have improved. And it is a record of your cake decorating history. icon_smile.gif

I have pics of cakes from years ago. Decided to post some of them on CC and couldn't find time. Made time to post some today and even though the pic. was fine in my files, somehow it came out discolored and a bit blurred when I uploaded to CC, so now I'm a bit discouraged, but I'll try again later. I feel you should always take pictures, even if you don't put them in your business album
