I know there are a few a you that live in the Indy area and was wondering if anyone knows of any good stores to get supplies (besides Micheals and Joanns) and if there are any clubs, events, etc? I am very new to this area and want to get involved in some stuff. I am bored...lol and would love to get out there and see new things and meet people who share the same passion for cakes as I do!! And if anyone knows of any places that are looking for cake decorators that would be great too!!

Believe it or not, there is only ONE cake supply store in the entire city of Indpls .... Ms. B's Sweet Shoppe over in Speedway (west side ... 465 to Exit 16A). http://www.msbssweetsupplies.com/ She has EVERYTHING! I'm not kidding .... I see lots of threads on here with folks trying to find out "where can I buy this" and "Where can I buy that?" and everytime I see those, I always think to myself, "Marsha always has that in her store for me!" Tell her Debi Brim sent you! (You dont' get a discount for telling her that, though!)

Ft Wayne is about two and a half hours away from Indianapolis. It is home to Country Kitchen and it's a great cake decorating store. Here is their website...

They have a cake club that meets once a month I believe. If you can't find anything there it may be worth the drive. You can find out more info on their website under "classes".

Maryjsgirl...I wish I could travel that far but with a two year who is going through her terrible 2's I could never get her to get in the car for that long!!
