I have to produce an idea for a European Union cake in two days max. The flag is dark blue with the circle of twelve yellow stars in the middle. It should represent unity, tolerance, community, peace,... And it has to be big, even bigger and representative.
Since for me everything depends on this cake and this commission, PLEASE HELP!!!!
Does it have to be a sheet or can it be multitiered? I was imagining a multi-tiered dark blue cake with the circle of twelve stars all around a middle tier and around the very bottom fondant figures of different nationality people all holding hands around the cake. Maybe on the very top you could have a dove? I don't know if there is some other logo that you could work onto it as well but if not, maybe you could have those words (peace, unity, etc.) as a sort of pattern in script on the cake in white or silver so the words would pop... Hope I helped a little ![]()
Okay, after taking a look at images associated with EU on the internet, I was thinking that you could have a three tiered cake. Piped (etc.) on the front sides of the cake could have the wordage to describe what the union signifies and at the very top of the cake you could do a bridge to support all of the different countries flags that are in the union with the EU flag in the middle. The rest of the cake could just be white and you could have a matching blue satin ribbon surrounding the bottoms of the cakes. Hope my idea helps! Good luck and post pictures!
ok, I'm guessing that there are 12 nations in the EU so am thinking if you had hexagon pans, you could do the bottom two layers hex and on each side, you could put something that represented each nation. Then on the top layer, you could put 12 stars going around?
Just an idea. It's late at night so probably weird, I dunno...
