Where To Find Foil Spikes For Top Of Cake
Decorating By sectheatre Updated 15 Jun 2006 , 3:04pm by sectheatre
I know I have seen examples of these being used before as well as seen them in the store, but of couse now that I need them-I can't find them!
I am wondering where (and what department) to buy the foil sparkler like things that can stick out of the top of a cake.
Also on the same subject...I've seen some cakes that have curly colored wire spikes. Are these bought also? And if made-what are they made of?
Sorry if these are silly questions, but I am just getting frustrated!
Thanks,
Sarah
it's funny that you asked that seeing as to I just bought some of those from Dollar Tree!LOL!!! ![]()
Do you remember what they were actually called on the package? Maybe having a correct name I'll get some hits on google.
Thanks
It says foil tree sticks on the package there are 8 sticks in there.
Bummer. That didn't get me any hits. Does anyone else have ideas about where to get these?
Thanks,
Sarah
Take a look at my volcano cake pic. The foil spikes I used to decorate the board were purchased in the housewares dept as Wal-Mart, on the wall with the cooking spoons, etc.

The housewares dept? I would have never thought of that-Thank you.
Now does anyone know how the curly wires are made? Are they purchased that way or made after purchase?
Thanks,
Sarah
