I have been looking through the galleries of monograms........ I am doing a white fondant wedding cake for my fair entry. Should I use white fondant and cut out the shape? Will this hold through the summer heat for a week? Also I seen someone used a candy mold would that work better than fondant? AND should I color the monogramed letters or would they be more striking with a white on white for the wedding look????

Thanks!

You could also print out the monograms in your favorite font on the computer and put some parchment or a silpat over the print and pipe them in royal. They would hold up better in the heat.

Good idea.....now I am using silk flowers as decorations. (Haven't decided what color) But should I match the color or go all white???? I will have other decorations on the cake with royal icing in white. Swirls and possibly the diamond mat with pearls.

I really like white on white wedding cakes. I think they are so elegant and striking. White would be my vote.
