I see some recipes that call for Pastry Pride. Can anyone tell me what that is?
from what i understand, pastry pride is a non dairy whipped topping. i think it comes in either liquid cartons that you whip yourself or ready-whipped tubs.
i believe it's very similar to rich's bettercreme.
i'm not familiar with it, though, so i might not be accurate.
Yep! Its basically just a whipped topping. It comes in a milk-carton type thing and you just whip it up. Its a lot lighter than buttercream, and doesn't crust at all. I dont use it often, but when I do, I add a little flavor to it (usually almond or lemon). I get it at Cash & Carry.
