Character Cake Pans Not Used Anymore.........
Decorating By kerri729 Updated 15 May 2007 , 4:03pm by Antylucifer
What do I do with these? Early in my decorating years, when my kids were very little, I did character cakes for the birthdays and I have collected several over the years. I also inherited some of the old character cake pans from the early to mid 70's from my mother who also did character cakes for my sisters and I, but these are all the aluminum foil type of pans, but she still had the original boxes and everything that they came in. I am having a garage sale this weekend, should I just slap 50 cents on them and get rid of, or is there a place that will take these things? TIA
Hi--I would be glad to buy them from you--if I was there!! Love the older pans!!! Also--If any one is interested--there is a site with directions for older pans--cakepans4less.com. Found this site very helpful!!!
If you want to donate, Battered Women's Shelters and Crisis Centers would probably love to have them.
If you want to sell, consider Ebay, or Craigs List. Lately on Ebay most of the discontinued pans are labeled "antique" or "vintage" and sell for a decent price with hefty shipping charges.
I don't know if it's allowed on this board, I've only seen it one other time, but some fellow CC'ers may be interested in purchasing some.
