Hello everyone. I've been thinking about trying to find a recipe for peaches and cream cake. Has anyone every tried one? I wonder what kind of filling and icing would go with that type of cake? If anyone has had a peaches and cream cake, please let me know how you liked it. Thanks

I have! I use a box white mix w/ extender & in place of the liquid I use Toriani peach coffee syrup. I frost and fill with cream cheese frosting, and its delicious! It would prolly be really good if you mixed in a can or fresh peaches in the filling, too. thumbs_up.gif

Thanks so much ejeepgrl. I'm so sorry that it took so long to thank you. I didn't know that there were any responses. Didn't get notified for some reason. I have decided on making the peaches and cream cake. I can't quite imagine the taste but I'm looking for something a little different and this should do it. Thanks again!!

i think that recipe sounds really good, definitely with the peaches mixed into the filling...maybe even into the cake as well? The little diced peaches in a can, well drained, would probably work perfectly! I will have to give this a try.

Here's a great recipe I got off a box of Betty Crocker years ago. It's not really a good cake for decorating, but it is very yummy!

Peach Delight

Ingredients:
1 16oz can sliced peaches in light syrup
1 package Betty Crocker SuperMoist yellow cake mix
1 6oz container Yoplait Original peach yogurt or 2/3 cup plain yogurt
1 4oz container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions:
Heat oven to 350.
Generously grease and flour two 8 or 9 inch pans.
Drain peaches, reserving syrup.
Add enough water to the reserved syrup to measure 1 and 1/4 cups.
Prepare cake mix as directed on package, except substutute syrup and water mixture for the water called for on the package.
Pour batter into pans and bak and cool as directed on the package.
Cut peaches into bite-size pieces.
Mix yogurt and wipped topping; fold in peaches.
Fill layers with about half othe peach mixture.
Spoon remaining peach mixture over top of cake.
Refrigerate 2 hours or until chilled.
Store in fridge.

There is also one in the Cake Mix Doctor cookbook. I made it this spring and thought it was good enough to add to my menu...but I've had so much cake since then that I can't tell you exactly what it was like LOL! Have fun experimenting!
