I made myself a double layer 8 and double layer 6 in cake to be stacked for mother's day. BUT...I got caught up in my MIL's cupcakes, cheese cakes for a customer who canceled and then delivering that cake to our women's shelter.
So my mother's day cakes are sitting here mocking me! icon_eek.gificon_confused.gif
So my question is this,
I have run dry of ideas on what to do with these cakes. My daughter, trying to be helpful, got them out of the freezer last night to"help me have to make and decorate them"
So I have them sitting on my counter waiting for butter cream or anything to cover their naked little cake bodies..
BUT I AM DRY OUT OF IDEAS...ANYONE GOT SUGGESTIONS????? icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

If it were ME I would stick them back in the freezer until your really need them! When you have an occasion you can use them for it is nice to already have part of it done! though a big slab of cake sounds pretty good right now....!

Grab a fork and start eating? icon_lol.gif

What did you have in mind? Is it for yourself or your mother?

The only thing is they are already defrosted!!! can you refreeze without damaging the taste?
It was originally intended to be for my MIL and all the mother's at our mother's day get together. I just didn't get that far with it.
So now I guess....me? icon_redface.gif

Well.. how would You like to see your own cake? Maybe try something you've always wanted to, but haven't had the opportunity? Or just throw on some BC and enjoy after all your hard work!

for some reason I keep getting about a million ideas but then something else pops into my head and poof I'm wanting to do that! I guess I need to go over my design books and just settle on one idea and commit to it!

EASIER SAID THAN DONE THOUGH! thumbs_up.gif

well, I used the double layer 8 in to make an appreciation cake for my daughter's teachers and just plain iced the 6 in for my immediate family to just eat. I didn't decorate it. But boy was it good!!!!
