So I have my delivery fee figured out over 7 miles from center of town (which pretty much covers city limits and a little more) there will be a $0.50 per mile.
My question is, do you only figure one way or round trip miles? I got to thinking and i am not sure which way to go with this.
Thanks everyone! I debated this at work all day today too (I know my mind is suppose to be on work, but who has time for that!)
I would love not to deliver but since I have my business in my home in a residential area I can not have any pick-ups. So my Delivery is figured into my pricing for a certain range, then additional on that.
Thanks again!
I have people pick up at my home all the time...never been a problem..
I can't have this because of the cities rules not mine. They have a regulation to help keep traffic down in residential area, granted I wouldn't have more than two at a time, but I also don't want neighbors to complain then I would not be able to do it out of my home anymore.
How do they regulate traffic in a residential area? Is there a limit on how many friends can come over or how often? I'm not trying to be sarcastic .... I seriously don't know how this works.
If my daughter stops by twice a day every day, would I get a letter from the city curtailing her visits? I know people who have lots of friends and who always seem to have a house full of people .... friends visiting .... their cars parked on the street and in their driveway for hours.![]()
Indydebi you make me laugh! I thought the exact same thing!!
But growing up my mom had a business out of our house too. We had elderly neighbors that found out she had a business and threw a fit that there would be more traffic (this fit was about 8 months after she was already having business at the house, and she had already gone through the city and all appropriate announcements) After that they kept a close eye on it. If we had people over all the time they didn't care b/c it was personal, but for some reason when a business gets involved it is a completely different story.
I actually have a neighbor across the street that has another home based business and have seen the same thing in the neighborhood...
