i need to creat a victorian dress....like this picture...

you think i should try doing a pattern transfer w/piping gel, or try using fondant? if i were to use fondant i would make it on the cake and not standing up on the cake. doesnt have to come out exactly like the picture either, just something close to it.
and if i were to use fondant, what could i use to make the wrinkles on the dress?
thanks in advance!
Oh gosh I don't know for sure but I sure do like both of the dresses and think they would be gorgeous done in Fondant with Royal Icing piping. I can see this being done in 3D or laying down on a flat surfaced cake. Can't wait to see what you do with this! I have saved the pictures and will definitely try making one of these myself one day in the near future.
Good luck and please post pics when you are finished!! ![]()
you guys are right. this will look much better in fondant. and thanks for the tip on the wrinkles. maybe Michaels has something to that effect.
one more thing. if i try to make a pearl necklace out of fondant and lay it on the cake. what do i use to connect them like a necklace. fishing clear line?
thanks again!
Falenn:
I have this cake saved and thought of it immediately when I saw you post.
