Any tips or suggestions on how to keep my iced stacked cakes from sticking together? I hate cutting the cake by layers and having a big glob of frosting come up and leaving the bottom layer barron.
TIA

Try sprinkling the cake with powdered sugar before you stack thumbs_up.gif

I have no idea, but figured I would bump because I have always wondered about this too.

you can also use shredded coconut or ground nuts.

I sometimes dust the bottom of my top layer (the cake round) with powdered sugar. It seems to work for me.

I think way too many people are allergic to nuts & coconut to do this. I use the powdered sugar.
