Help!
i have tried now 3 different white cake recipes(1 one of the recipes 4 times) they landed in the garbage. While baking the cakes either oozed out of the pan all over the oven or came out flat as a pancake. I know I have posted this dilema before and have taken in account the advice I have recieved, but still nothing is working and I am losing my self confindence rapidly.
any other recipes I could try?

Maybe a new recipe? Have you tried any from here? I love to use the Heavenly White Cake recipe from CC

I follow it just as it is and it comes out every time. icon_biggrin.gif

Have you tried using a mix (I always use Duncan Hines) and "enhancing" it? Also I've never had a problem with the white almond sour cream recipe here...what recipes have you tried?

Pillsbury or Betty Crocker Cake Mix works for me. I enhance it with different flavored creamers. Works every time!

The OP is in Germany. There is no Duncan Hines. Try this recipe. It is from a friend of mine in Houston and is a wonderful cake.

I say absolutely scratch tastes better, but white cake can be tough, and I think the majority of CCers are amateur home bakers who like the safety of a boxed mix as a base.
