If I do a frozen buttercream transfer with the colors white and black will it bleed when thawed? I was thinking of making them the night before the party. Should I wait to put it on the day of the party?Thanks-rhondie

I did an elvis fbct, that was only white & black, it's in my photos and I had it on the cake almost 12 hours before I took it to my mom and it never bled.

I think it depends on what type of buttercream you are using. I never have bleeding problems but I use a hi-ratio shortening based buttercream.

you can look at my pics because I have done 2 fbcts with black and white. the elvis is with a thicker icing and the boy is made with pretty thin icing. I didn't have any trouble with bleeding at all. It made me nervous at first, too !!! thumbs_up.gif
