Is there a special icing or something to spray on the icing to make it lastfor a window display ??
If you want a "buttercream" cake then there is a product caleld Perma-Ice that is used for displays....it's like plaster, basically.If you're using fondant, then just let it harden...but any bright colors might fade over time in an outside window.
