Need Help For Father's Day!!!

I know I'm cutting it close here, but I need an idea for Father's Day!! My dad is a baptist minister and wanted to do a churchy theme maybe pulpit design...or at this late in the game something easier. Any ideas appreciated. TIA

He is Usually lurking in the shadows....LOL.

Seriously though, He can come up with some of the best Ideas! He will even sketch it out for you. Doug is just awesome. He could be sketching something right now for you!

I'm coming up blank, but hand in there, someone will pop in a good idea!

Baptist pulpit is usually full wooden box type podium. Not the scrawny one to carry around. Don't have any pics unfortunately. Have any ideas or pics of a preacher? Any welcome and appreciated. Not up on the Lutheran version of podiums... icon_rolleyes.gificon_redface.gif

My dad is also a baptist preacher. How about if you do a 9 x 13 bottom layer. Then do the pulpit and maybe the small benches to balance out the sceene. It would pretty simple to make the pulpit and benches with cake covered with fondant. Then around the side of the bottom cake write out a scripture...maybe Proverbs 23:24.

Doug just so you know the pulpit is usually a large box like structure...a center area about 4 1/2 feet tall with shorter sides about 3 1/2 to 4 feet high. Kind of stair steps. Probably from one side to the other about 3 feet wide.

Just a thought...it would be cute I think.

If the pulpit doesn't work (which I like the first sketch Doug did) how about a cross and a heart on the cake and it say something like "My Father is always close to my heart" That way it shows your dad and also God. Just a thought.
