what do you use to form the flower, so that it holds its shape???any tips would be great!!! thanks

I made cones out of paper. You can fold a normal sheet of paper in half and cut it. Then roll each half into a cone and tape or staple it to stay. Take a pair of sissors and cut the bottom so its even and then they will stand on their own as well. Or you can line up a row of drinking glasses upside down and place the paper cones on their to hold them upright.

I made mine from fondant. I cut with heart cookie cutter. Formed them and then stuffed with half a sheet of toilet paper. Cheapest former I could think of. They turned out beautiful. Some sank a bit b/c I didn't use enough toilet paper, but I think it made them look more realisitc. If the bride would send me a pic, I'll get to post it someday!

I used sugar ice cream cones. Just cover them with plastic wrap. It worked for all of the different sizes!

I bought party hats. It was the only thing I could think of. Now I've got dora birthday hats to set my calla lillies on.

I make cones out of small paper plates (saucer size) and use those as formers.
