A Fan Made Of Gumpaste Or Fondant?

anyone have any ideas on how to do a fan (as in to fan yourself not an air fan) made of fondant or gumpaste? or a picture that i can see.

Sorry I don't have a pic for you but a few suggestions. I would use a 50/50 on the gumpaste and mmf. It will give you more working time than just gumpaste and dry fast enough to hold its shape than just mmf. Have you thought of making a fan from cardboard, lay the 50/50 on top then mold and shape? Or you could try to just pleat but you might not get crisp edges. Good luck I would love to see it when its finished.

I use 100% gumpaste, but I have a cutter for the fan pieces. I don't "fold" it - i assemble the pieces separately.

Use gumpaste to make the fan. Here are a few cutters (I've used the ones from Tinkertech and they work great!)
