My son is doing a report on the Iroquois for his exit project and I can't seem to find any authentic recipes...they have to be Iroquois so if anyone knows any could you please post them or pm me? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I found this...to add to Doug's. By the way Doug, nice avatar and love the tagline. icon_lol.gif

"At the time of European contact (1535), the Iroquois constituted a Confederacy or League of five nations in upstate New York. The five nations= the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga..." Looks like you may have your work cutout for you. I did find this recipe for Iroquois white cornbread-- http://www.prophecyandsurvival.com/recipes-cornbread.htm

This site - http://click.nativeamericans.com/www.wisdomkeepers.org/nativeway/ also has recipes that you can search from by tribe. On the left side of the page, you'll see a box that says "other index" which will give you the "search by tribe". Most of the recipes for these tribes are baked or boiled corn bread it seems.

Good luck!
