My mother just surprised me and sent me a box of molds(supply store went out of business-gave her 15 for five dollars)- I have no instructions icon_sad.gif My question is since I have never used them before do I have to grease them or put cornstarch in them before I use mmf , choc or candy melts? And when using fondant or canymelts or clay how long do I have to let them sit? I have sooo many wonderful molds turtles, shells I even think on is like small fancy favor cup. I really wanna use them icon_smile.gif

I can speak only to chocolate....do not put anything in the molds! Melt the chocolate in the microwave at 20 second intervals, so it doesn't burn. Then just pour in the mold. Place in the freezer til firm. Unmold.

Whenever I've picked up a new mold, I rinse it with warm water when I get home. Let it dry. Pour in chocolate.

or....

if you are going to put MMF in , dust with cornstarch, place MMF in, turn upside down and tap out shapes...you don't have to wait too long.
