hey! i just disscovered luster dust a couple of weeks ago and im in love with it! ha but can you knead luster dust right into the fondant rather then paint it on? im making a cake that looks like a wedding dress and the dress has a champaign colored sash and i was going to just tint the fondant ivory then somehow i wanted to add the luster dust but make it shine a little bit but not be over the top! any ideas???

Kneading it into the fondant doesn't have the 'shimmery' effect that you get if you dust it on top. If you are going for subtle, I would put your fondant on the cake, wait for it to dry some, then dry-dust the luster dust on. The drier the fondant, the less dust will stick, so you will get a more subtle effect.
