I have an Epson CX 3810 and just bought the ink to refill the cartridges and it is not working. For some reason the printer will not recognize the refilled ones. I used the chip resetter and the light turned green so I don't know what I could be doing wrong. Anyone one have idea??

TIA

I don't know if this will be any help at all but we had an Epson printer ourselves for normal printing and we had a problem with the ink heads - if they're not used regularly they get clogged up. We were doing all our printng in black and white and rarely used the colour and the repair shop said we should have printed something/anything in colour on a regular basis, say once a week, just to keep the thing working. I believe most other makes of printers the ink head is in the cartridge so that problem is much less likely to occur. We changed printer to HP but that is not helpful to you for printing edible images. Sorry

In my case the new Epson printer would not recognize the edible cartridges at all. I was unable to print anything and kept getting a message to change the cartridges. I called Kopykake and they had me to take the microchip off of the Epson cartridges and put them onto the Kopykake edible ink cartridges. This worked perfectly. I, too, purchased the chip resetter, but it did not work for me either. Do you use Kopykake? If so, don't hesitate to give their technical dept. a call. They are very easy to deal with, very helpful. I hope this helps.

I had the same problem with my Epson. Never could get it to work after refilling cartridges. Ordered a Canon - going to install it this afternoon.

Mine was only a year old, also. I tried for DAYS to unclog, used tons of ink, to no avail.

I'm so sorry to hear all of your problems with the Epson printers. I too have the Epson CX4800 and knock on wood, I haven't had any problems. I've printed out about 15 pictures and it still shows that each color is more than 3/4 full. It sure will hurt my feelings if this thing messes up. Now, I'm getting nervous icon_confused.gif

Mine worked perfectly, until it was low on ink. I bought the chip resetter, refilled, and reset it. It worked well for awhile, then BANG! I'd get 1 good picture, then several messed up ones until finally it just quit. No black will come out at all.
