I hace never used candy molds and am attempting to use them for a cake using the letter molds. Other than melting the candy melts and squeeezing them into each mold, what do I need to do to get a clean back of the letter. I tried scraping the excess off after hard, but not a real clean look and broke acouple letters...

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

After you pour the candy melts into the mold, (do not fill all the way to the top) tap the mold on the table and it smoothes it out really nice.
Just keep tapping it until it is smooth.

When pouring the mold, make sure your candy is thin enough so it settles smooth on its own. A slight tap of the mold on the counter will get rid of any air bubbles and settle the back smoothly.

Wow...thanks for the quick responses...I thought I had to fill all the way to get the full effect of the mold. I'll go try again and see!!!!!!!!

sometime using a squeeze bottle with a piping tip helps or using a disposable pastry with a plastic tip so if it hardens you can put it in the nuker for a few seconds. If you should overfill just take a butter knive or small spatulas and swipe it over the cavity before freezing. After you unmold if you still want to work on the edges rub your finger all along to smooth. I have a few pairs of candy gloves that I use for this and also use them so I don't leave marks on the dark choc.
