I covered a frozen cake with crusting buttercream this morning (I now know that this is not a good idea). As the cake thawed, the condensation seeped into the frosting and it will not crust. I tried adding more on top, but it just slid around. Is there anything I can do to get it to crust? Can I maybe sprinkle powdered sugar on it ???

I'm not sure what to do. I don't think I'd sprinkle powdered sugar on it because it won't "mix" insto the frosting and you'll just have powdered sugar specks on top. I would just wait and see if once all the condensations dries if the icing crusts then. Maybe wait a few hours?? If not, scrape off the icing and start again.

Hopefully someone else can give you a better answer!
