Help!! Cake Frosting?

what should i frost an ice cream cake with. its vanilla cake and oreo cookie ice cream... what should i use to frost it.. please help me with some ideas icon_biggrin.gif

I would think any frosting such as Wilton's class buttercream would work. I use one that's half butter and half shortening. I would think that would work.

Just consider that the icing will be frozen when eaten... anything with butter is not going to be a good idea. I would ice it in whipped cream.

I agree with KoryAK you really need a whipped icing for the taste.
