I ordered some dusting chalks from a wbsite for cake decorating. When I got them I relized they were not anything special, just basicly pastels from like an art department, of course they were non-toxic acid free. If I went to micheals and bough ordinary pastel chalks that were non-toxic would I be able to use them on cakes and decorations? Thanks in advance

The chalks at Michael's are exactly the same as the ones you bought online. I recently purchased a set of metallic dusts from michael's that are also non-toxic and acid free. The colors are wonderful. Michael's actually has a pastel set and a bold set of the chalks that I think you are talking about!
So where in Michael's do you find this ?? And what exactly do you use it for ?? ![]()
Is this stuff edible ??
Could it be used to "color" stamps I am using on a cake ?? Like to actually cover the stamp design before I press it onto the cake ??
Teesme, What kind of stamps are you using on your cakes? I am interested in doing this. Thanks
