I'm trying to think up a couple of fillings for a butter cake, just for the family. I'm making it mostly to try out fondant on top.

I have buttercream icing ready so I'm looking for something I can add to it to make it an interesting filling. How about crushed up oreo cookies? Would that taste good as a filling with butter cake? Otherwise I could add some jam to the bc. Any ideas?

I need to fill 2 layers, they can be the same or different.

Oh yes, it is very good! I used that filling for a chocolate cake I made for Easter (cross cake) and it was very popular. Best of luck!

Yep, I've done it. It was YUMMY! I used reduced fat Oreos because I had a hunch they wouldn't get as soggy. I don't kwno if it was better than regular or not, but it was GOOD!

Yes, the two cakes in my photo album are alternating layers of white and chocolate cake, with oreo buttercream in between. DELICIOUS.

Yes! It's very rich too. Be sure to crush them good so that you don't hit big chunks when trying to cut the cake. I used peanutbutter Oreo's in my chocolate cake and it was awsome!
