ok, i am wodering if the MMF has to be freshly made and a little warm still when covering a cake. yesterday i tried covering a cake with MMF which i made last week. its was tightly covered with saran and sealed in a container. when I started, i warmed it slightly in the microwave with a little shortening to make it more plyable. i rolled out, and went to cover the cake, and GOOD luck!!!! a tried 3 times! the corners would smooth out, they kept cracking. no matter what i did.. i didn't want to be on that cake. i gave up with that mess and ended up just using regular fondant.

what went wrong???
thanks

Did you knead it before rolling out. You definitely have to knead it before rolling.
