I learned how to do it in class - you may want to look up "ribbon roses" online or on the forums - they are MUCH easier to make!

Wilton sells a "rose bouquet" cutter kit that has some instructions. The one recommendation I would make is to let each step dry for at least 24 hours. For example, for this method you make a small teardrop base - which should dry for a day, then attach the next petals w/ water and let that dry - etc. It's kinda complicated though. I think there is a simpler method where you make the "petals" by hand - but I can't find the instructions. I just made my first fondant roses and they take a long time!!! But they were fun to do!

Good luck!

These are the instructions for doing the fondant rose with the cutters. It is much faster and easier, IMO.

Okay, the file was too large. If you are interested, send me a PM with your email address and I will email it to you.
