Has anyone ever covered strawberries with the wilton candy melts? I'm looking for a way to cover strawberries with a pink color.....maybe white chocolate ganache tinted pink?

Any ideas? icon_confused.gif

I have used it for my daughters b-day party....I used the pink and yellow and make sure when you wash the strawberry that it is VERY dry before you dip it or it will clump. I stuck a skewer in the strawberry and dipped it and set it on wax paper to let it set. I normally stick them in the freezer to make the chocolate harden faster then I take them out...I think they taste better than the ones with regular chocolate on them!!! icon_biggrin.gif

I used wilton candy melts to do the tuxedo strawberries. Worked great! I thought they looked cool and just wanted to try them (not for an event or party or anything). Boy am I glad I tried them first. They came out great but after sitting for a while the juice from the strawberries started to ooooz out from the strawberries and spilled over the chocolate. icon_eek.gif Made a heck of a mess and looked aweful. icon_cry.gif I haven't tried them since (haven't needed to) but I would try it first to see how long you have till they start to get juicy. I refrigerated the strawberry's after I had finished the whole dipping process and placed them on wax paper on a cookie sheet. (I think it was for a full day) before the "ooozing" started to happen. Just a word of caution. icon_confused.gif
