I've got my basic theme and colors done but this is where I always get stuck. I need to put my finishing touches on it but have no idea what to do. Can you help? Any ideas are welcome! I'm planning on putting a door and windows on but not sure what else. Thanks!

How about some funky vines made from thin fondant ropes and little balls as "flowers"...just thinking that would fit the theme better than piped vines and roses or something. Cool lookin' cake!

flags at the top of the turrets

a coat of arms?

and little drawbridge in front of door?

Flatten small, irregular, rectangular pieces of fondant with fingers to resemble brick and attach to walls for texture and pipe grass around castle structure.

A "flying" carpet? Or magic lamp?
Definitely flags or a more pointy tip to the tops of the towers.
Possibly graham cracker sand instead of grass?


Depends on who/what the cake is for.
