Newbie Question: How Do You Find Out About Contests?

how do i find out when they are and what the theme is, and then how to enter? i have searched the site and am still hopelessly confused. LOL guess i better go have some coffee and a piece of cake 
Welcome to CC alaskanmom! When a new contest is announced, there will be info about it in the upper left hand of the page under the "Warning" icon with a place to click on for more information. By the way, since you're new to this site, you'd better click on the warning so you'll be prepared for what you're in for since you've joined our family!!! LOL
I'm sure it won't be too long before the next contest is announced!
