Hi, Just new here, found it while looking for an answer to this question..hope someone can help

I am making the cake for a relatives wedding, have the cakes, the icing (fondX), and have tested colours etc.. idea all planned.

My problem is, can the cake be stored in the fridge uncovered or does it need to be airtight once the icing is on?? Today is Friday (I'm in Australia), and the wedding is Sunday morning. I was hoping to make it today as I will have no interuptions.

I don't normally use this icing, this is my first time, and just the storage of it confusing me.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can store it in the fridge.. If possible cover it loosely with plastic wrap. If there are no decorations on it of some sort, then the plastic wrap should not ruin it. The better it is covered, then less condensation.. when you take it out, it will sweat, but don't worry, that will go away, prpbably w/ in the hour icon_smile.gif "Good Dai Mait" icon_smile.gif

Thanks so much, I was just worried the icing would crack and then I'd be totally devastated!!
I won't be adding the flowers till the morning that are going on top and the other decorations I have are icing too so PHEW!
I think I'll be coming here alot more now for hints and tips. icon_smile.gif
