Is there anything I can add to a regular DH mix to make it rise more? Thanks!

Add 1-2 tablespoons of Meringue powder to your mix. It makes it rise higher cause it's made of eggwhites. thumbs_up.gif

On your next cake, try whisking the dry mix for a few minutes before adding the wet ingredients (akin to sifting it). I just tried this today for the first time (on a DH chocolate cake mix), and I cannot believe how much higher it baked up.

PS This tip is not mine originally, I'm sure I read it somewhere else on this website first!

I add a teaspoon of baking powder to any mix that I add stuff to, which is always a version of WASC. I put all of my dry stuff into a sifter and sift. There is always big, dry bits of sugar and cake mix leftover that I pitch.
