Hello.
I was hoping that someone could help me out and I hope its ok to ask this question.
Me and my husband own a local motorcycle shop and we sell dirtbike parts on ebay, and my husband and my son both race.
We are wanting to start a website sorta like cake central as far as the layout and the forums.
We would like to have different areas of interest like race shedules, different places to ride, a photo gallery, and a forum where everyone could do the same as we do here. Of course it would be all about dirt bikes and racing and riding.
My question is I signed up with yahoo to start a site and got us a web address, of course that nothing in the templates to use that goes along with dirt bikes so I figure I will have to do it from scratch and they offer some type of forum but they call it a blog. I hope those are really the same thing. But I am really having a hard time figuring all this out.
I am pretty good with computers, but this blog thing is kinda hard to understand if what you are doing is what you think is right.
Anyways back to my question... Could anyone that has done this before as far as the forum thing and the website, help me out on directing me how to do it or what would be a better host than yahoo.
Or I would really appreciate if someone like Jackie or Lisa the moderators could tell me who host cake central and if the forum section is done through someone else.
Anyone willing to help me can pm me if you would.
Thanks so much to everyone and hopefully someone can help.
Oh by the way Im not looking for a free site, I am willing to pay a monthly fee. Like yahoo offers a starter package and the only difference is less space. Just wanted to say this, I didnt want anyone to think I was looking for a website that was going to let me do this for free.
Thanks again to everyone. ![]()
