Hi everyone,

I am not sure if anything can be done or not but last time I used my airbrush I had red colour in it and it soaked into the little rubber ring around the top of the metal screwtop lid of the airbrush bottle(the one that comes with the machine). It didn't seem to want to come out and I was worried it may taint other colours I used in it next time so I put it in to soak in some water. Long story short I forgot about it and it went quite rusty around the rubber ring and over the metal lid. I have tried to get what I can but still bit rusty. I don't want any rustiness to get on cakes.

Does anyone have any ideas about what I can do with this?

I didn't even forget about mine and mine has some rust on it now... I'm not happy to say the least.

Have you tried scouring it with a metal scourer? This should get the rust off. In future leave metal parts on top of the oven while it's on, or on radiators - they will dry beautifully.

Thanks for your reply Emma, yes I did try with the scourer and got some of it off but couldn't get all of it off I couldn't get get right up into some of the bits properly, I will try leaving them to dry on oven next time as you suggested.

Thanks thumbs_up.gif

one thing I just thought of was a little lemon and salt to take it off... what do you think?
