Fondant Bow Question

Okay - someone directed me to the tutorial for making a loopy fondant bow. In step 4, it states to hang the loops over a dowel or large stick. Does the stick/dowel need to be sprayed with anything to prevent the loops from sticking when trying to remove them?

I've never hung mine to dry I just lay them on their side on wax paper. If I did hang them I would probably use very little crisco to coat the sticks before hanging them.
