I will be doing my first "stacked" wedding cake this weekend "5 tiers" and was wondering if there is some magical way to stack them without messing up the icing.

You could try using a very large spatula to place the cakes on top of one another but it only works with cakes up to about 8" round, other then that, I stack them then decorate them. Sometimes that means doing some of the decorating on site when I deliver. Good Luck!
