I have a bit of a quandry. My DH and I are building a house and a friend of ours have GIVEN us a year old Viking (standard size 4 top with a single oven). After reading some of the reviews on this site about Viking v. Wolf, now I'm not sure if we need to go ahead and get a regular oven. I've heard my whole life that Viking's are the end all, be all but I've never heard how good they are for baking. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks ya'll!!

I have the stove top with the grill that I wouldn't trade for anything. I have a KA and Miele electric ovens. I love the KA because it is very roomy. Mine is 8 years old. One thing I don't like abut the K.A when the timer is finished it turns off the oven. So then it has to be turned back on if things are not done. Maybe they have changed it. Hope you don't mind some advice about some things we did and luv. One is the faucet above our stove top, the other is the hot water butler, the bush button near the kitchen faucet for our disposal and a extra heavy duty disposal. If I were given a chance to do my kitchen over. I would get the Viking and everything else KA. No side by side refrigerators.

Fearless, I love hearing what other people did because a lot of things I probable would not have thought about otherwise. Out of curiosity why would you not have a side by side frig? The friend of ours also gave me a double French door Whirlpool fridge that has the freezer underneath.

Just FYI, my KA can be set to turn off after the timer is done, but it also can be set not to do that. It depends what mode you are using.

And why not take the free stove with oven (very good brand) and also install a second full oven. I LLLLOOVVEEE having more than one. The only thing I regret is my second one isn't as large as my first one.

It was the biggest mistake I/we made. Partly because the way our Kitchen is configured.Luckily Our garage is attached so there is another older reefer there. Oh, how I wish the gods would look down upon me and have one of them go out! Needless to say though, when I take a look around me, this is so minor.
