Does anyone have any recipes or ideas for non perishable fillings besides using preservatives or buttercream? I'm planning to cover the cake in fondant.

Thanks!

Have you looked into the buying pastry filling from coutnry kitchen.

You will have a lot to choose from: raspberry, lemon, apricot, pineapple, apple, strawberry, blueberry, bavairan creame, chocolate bav. cream, peach, guava, banana cream and their are a few more.

The prices are really good except for the cream cheese. That is too high.

I have to add that I just ordered from country kitchens a few weeks ago for the first time and was greatly impressed. I ordered the rasp filling for a fondant wedding cake I just did and received rave reviews. They also got the order to me in three days. I plan on ordering some other flavors of their filling to try in the near future.
