Just curious! My SIL and I were having a debate. Both of us are right-handed, but I twist my decorator bag clockwise, while she does it counter-clockwise. My Wilton instructor always untwists mine to demonstrate! So, which are you?

I'm a counter-clockwise and right-handed. It just goes easier that way for me I guess. My mom is also right handed and she's clockwise, so we used to have to re-do each other's bags in class if we were sharing!

I don't twist. I use parchment bags and I fold the top down and then continue folding. I saw someone on a cooking show do it that way several years ago and liked it, so I have done it that way ever since. And no backdoor leaks! thumbs_up.gif

Why did the instructors change the direction of a twist? A twist is a twist, for Pete's sake; or, am I missing something here??? What in the world could the difference be??

Right handed and clockwise. However when i decorate with my left hand I turn counter-clockwise.

I also turn my flowernail the opposite direction of a normal right handed person. It was very confusing to my wilton instructor the first time she saw me do it she just laughed and it was a joke the rest of my classes b/c i did a lot of stuff backwards. I learned decorating from leftys and i never thought about it. I can't go the other way now... it's just not comfortable.
