Where Can I Find Satin Ice In Nj Or Ct....

Please help!!! Does anyone know of a store in CT or NJ that carries Satin Ice?

I'm making a cake for my sister's bridal shower this weekend. I was going to use MMF but, I have so much other stuff to do that I'm hoping I can pick up Satin Ice instead of making several batches of MMF.

There will be about 60 people. I'm making the cake, making the favors (martha stewart's sugar cookie cakes - 9 cookies per favor icon_eek.gif ), potato salad, 4 dozen deviled eggs, picking up all of the ordered food, setting up the hall and the list goes on.....Why do I do this to myself?!?! icon_confused.gif Okay, because it's for my l'il sis and I want to.

why not contact satin ice their web site is www.satinfinefoods.com They are based in NY and should be able to tell you where you can buy some. Since you don't have time to order it directly from them.

In NY try calling nycake.com. In NJ try calling candylandcrafts.com.
I'm not sure if they carry this brand, but they do carry tons of decorating stuff. HTH

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try to call satin ice directly. I already checked candylandcrafts - they don't carry it.

Anyone else have any ideas?

There is a store in CT called "Cake Deocrators School & Supplies" located in Meriden CT. Web site is www.cakedecorators.com The store is very small but jam packed with cake supplies. Give it a shot.

Thanks BJ. I'm familiar with Cake Deocrators School & Supplies. We just moved, but that's were I used to get most of my boxes, boards etc. I've spent a lot of $$$ there over the past couple of years. icon_eek.gif Unfortunately, they don't carry Satin Ice.

I just called Satin Fine Foods and they don't have any stores in CT that carry it. icon_cry.gif But, the good news is that I can go directly to them. It turns out that Satin Fine Foods is right on the border of NY and NJ and it won't be too far out of my way as I drive back to CT tomorrow.

Is it easy for you to get to NYC w23 & 6th? if so i suggest again to call nycake. i know they have fondant, but not 100% sure it's satin ice. I did buy pettinice from them. it has a good taste.

On a side note, whereabouts in Jersey are you from? I"m in Essex County. Good luck in your search for fondant!

cindww - we are moving to Monmouth County. Right now we are staying in Wayne. The closing on our house is next Monday! thumbs_up.gif We've been living in a Residence Inn for almost 2 months (with 3 kids under 5 icon_eek.gif).

Ps good luck! I'm sorry to hear that--they motel and not finding Satin Ice! Best wishes with the house. I am in Warren County.
