I am going to use piping gel to put this teddy bear on a cake tomorrow and wonder if I should use a star tip to fill in or a grass tip to make it look fuzzy. Also, should I outline it in icing, too, or would that make it lose the fuzzy effect? Thanks!

I think I would outline it first, then use the grass tip for the fur. Maybe someone else will have an idea.

I would outline it, then you would have the defined line there, but keep in mind you can always decorate on that line, you don't have to stay in that line.

I, too, think I would use the grass tip.

Good luck!

Are you using piping gel in the the grass/star tube? It will probably settle out smooth. I would draw it with icing and then fill smooth with piping gel. Maybe you could add a little texture around the edges to suggest fur with the gel?

Maybe pull it out with a brush, like embroidery????

I'd use the grass tip, just very sparingly and short movements.

the embroidery is a great idea, too. you could pull it out instead of in. thumbs_up.gif
