I've never used real flowers on a cake. If I buy the roses the day of the occassion and insert them in the cake will they be fine? Is there a specific way to put flowers in the cake? Anything I should look out for?

Sorry for all the questions but i'm completely new to this idea icon_smile.gif

I would cover the stems with clear wrap or place the stems in little fower holders. Never place real flowers in iced cakes. I am allergic to roses and speak from experience. Bad reaction. And you never know what kind of pesticides that are on any type of flowers.

So putting plastic wrap on the stems makes it safe?

I had a feeling putting roses in the cake just like that seemed iffy lol
