trowel---
make a log of fondant or gumpaste and then roll so it has a fat end and narrow end.
then make a piece shaped like a pointed church window for the working end.
then a little straight piece to connect the two.
pinch the bottom of the "window" to make a ridge where the connecting piece will go
use paintbrush to make an indented hole in handle log.
use fondant or gumpaste dissolved in water as glue to glue connector into hole and under "window" in the pleat.
set aside to dry
and then hit w/ silver luster on blade and whatever color on handle.

-------
fence -- pointed uprights -- just a strips of fondant cut to length and tops cut at angle
when I did similar on a cake I made a strip of fondant as wide as I wanted slats tall
then used the diamond shaped fondant cutter to cut notches.
then use knife to cut apart, cutting at base of notch

rails and narrow uprights, just narrow strips of fondant (lots of cutting and piecing together!)
and then a fondant ball on top of the narrow uprights.

prefer to think of it as the lone diamond (in the rough) in a sea of sapphires (esp. blue star ones!) and rubies and emeralds and opals (love that stone!)
