Debbie Brown Cake Quantities Question.

I am making the baby in a pram cake for a shower and Debbie does not specify how many people this cake serves. She does say to use 10 cups of batter. How many does this serve? I usually just do it by site in my pans or use the wilton chart.
I just got another one of her books, the Enchanted Cakes, and I was wondering the same thing. Most of the cakes do not seem to be able to feed more than 10-12 people by the looks of them.
I'd like to know too!
I absolutely love her books, but the sizes do seem very small. I would probably put them on top of another sheet cake. Or do an oversized version of them, if you are wanting to feed quite a bit of people.
Don't quote me on this. I think I read somewhere that 1 cup of batter will feed 3 people. So your cake will feed 30. I don't know where it was to verify my number. I sounds about right because it becomes 2 cups of cake which looks to be three servings to me.

If I remember correctly it uses a 1 litre bowl, so it would only serve 10-12 people. Most of her cakes in that book serve 10-12 only.
Hope this helps
This site may help a bit...

From the Whimsical Bakehouse book, a 10 inch round cake (3+ inches high) is made from 8-9 cups of batter and they indicate that this size cake will feed "up to 25 people".
My SIL made Debbie's sunken treasure cake recently and that fed 20 peoole with cake left over.

Cris.
