i have the sports ball pan and it's a solid full ball. well actually is 2 pans you put together. I believe the soccer pan is only 1/2 the ball and has the imprints as mentioned above.

The soccer ball pan is a half ball right? and the sports ball pan is the full ball. I think the soccer ball pan is bigger though.

My dad was garage saling this weekend and came across a cake decorator selling a box of "Stuff". I got a bunch of round cake pans plus this other ball shaped pan that came in halves. I first thought it was a mixing bowl and then started to think it was a pan. There were also these things that now I think are the bottoms so you can bake but I thought they were round cookie cutters or something. I believe I have the sports ball pan. I was going to take a picture of it and forgot. Did your pan come seperate, meaning there was a circle bottom that you place the pan on once its in the oven or is that attatched to your pan?

It comes w/the 2, 1/2 circles and 2 rings you place on the bottom while in the oven.
And as i mentioned before, the soccer will look bigger... but they both can be made with just one cake mix box.
