I've never put a filling inside of cupcakes before. How do I do that? Do I need a special tip? I assumed you put it in after the cupcakes were baked. Stick it down through the top of the cupcake? through the cupcake papers? I'm clueless. Any help would be appreciated.

I have always used like a tip 2 or 3 and fill from the top... You are gonna cover the top with frosting so no one will see it.. Hope that helps.
I'm not sure how other people do it, but I tried this once and it worked:
I used a #10 tip, stuck it down into the middle of the cupcake from the top and just squeezed the filling into the cupcake. Once the tops were iced, you couldn't tell I'd done anything to them.
I made lemon cupcakes with cream cheese filling. They were delicious!
Good luck. ![]()
I use a large star tip, insert into top of cupcake and squeeze until I feel it is as full as I would like it to be. Warning, don't squeeze too much, you could rupture your cupcake. I have seen other threads on this topic on CC, you could do a search. Hope this helps a little bit.
ooo creamcheese in lemon cupcakes! do you mind sharing the recipe? (for the creamcheese filling)
I also use the special tip for filling (can't remember the number) and fill from the top. Bavarian Creamed chocolate cupcakes is everyone's favorite (I buy the packaged cream that doesn't spoil if not refrigerated)
